Bio

Katarina brings over 25 years of international and Australian design expertise spanning the full project lifecycle, from large-scale masterplanning and feasibility studies through to design, documentation, interiors, and furniture selection.

Her involvement has been crucial in successfully executing complicated, award-winning projects across health, education, aged care, and justice sectors.

Katrina’s design approach is

  • Research and evidence-based, utilizing extensive knowledge of findings that link human cognitive abilities and well-being to the built environment.
  • Environmental understanding: co-authored the publication 'Stay Cool: A Guide for the Built Environment in Hot Climates,' demonstrating a strong grasp of climatically appropriate design principles.
  • Cultural & placemaking focus: well-versed in Designing with Country, driving culturally appropriate and impactful placemaking responses.

Beyond practice, Katrina’s expertise is shared through years as a tutor and guest critic at USYD, UNSW, and UTS. Acknowledging her industry presence, Katarina was selected as a sponsor for the 2023 Property Council of Australia’s 500 Women in Property program.
