Wahroonga Station

PTW Architects undertook condition of assessment, paint scrape analysis, specific specification clauses and Statements of Heritage Impacts for twelve historic metropolitan railways stations as part of Sydney Trains ongoing refurbishment and upgrade works programme. Of the stations inspected four are listed on the State Heritage Register while the remaining stations have an important S170 listing.

With the impact of proposed upgrade work assessed in terms of addressing the conservation and Heritage Significance for each metropolitan station, importantly this was undertaken through intensive site inspections and one-on-one consultation with each of the assigned Sydney Trains Project Managers. This meant that many heritage impacts could be mitigated through a refinement on the project scope confirming mitigation of the heritage impact.
