Prince Henry Masterplan Little Bay
The citation for the 2008 Premiers Award for the Prince Henry redevelopment stated: ‘crafts a new residential and community that seamlessly balances old and new, open space and built form, private and public uses, creating a rare showcase of sustainable, coastal urban renewal’ Further the Prince Henry masterplan was described as providing “major environmental benefits including comprehensive site remediation; 9.2 hectares of parks and protected bushland; minimising urban runoff; repairing creek lines and riparian zones and reusing rainwater for irrigation”.
PTW's Prince Henry Masterplan fulfilled Landcom's commitment to the SEDA Energy Smart Homes Policy. It demonstrates energy efficient design by achieving 4.4 star NatHERS rating for multi-unit dwellings and 4 stars for single dwellings. The masterplan also incorporates the principles of water sensitive urban design as well as flora and fauna considerations.
