With due consideration given in the visualisation of a contemporary urban neighbourhood, a range of new social uses will be integrated with a range of landscape open spaces and public pedestrian linkages. This masterplan recognises the evolution of the site within the context of the north-west metropolitan planning strategy of Sydney. Importantly this masterplan recognises adjacent transport infrastructure including the confluence of three major public transport corridors, including: the North-west metro rail corridor; the Bus transitway along Old Windsor to Parramatta; and the Bus transitway along Sunnyholt Road to Blacktown.
This is an important masterplan site demonstrating a comprehensive design approach in the provision of strategic benefit within the context and environmental capacity of the neighbourhood.
