You are looking for the kind of role where you get involved in many parts of the business and learn about the crucial activities of the day-to-day business operations of the studio – from the big picture aspects to the finer details. You will communicate across all departments of the business.

Along with your interest in architecture, you will bring the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • Excellent people skills.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, and a desire to deliver the best possible result.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with good presentation skills.
  • Ability to build solid working relationships across all levels of the business, building management and external suppliers.
  • Solid MS Office 365 (particularly Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint) and accurate numerical skills.
  • Open-mindedness to learn new software systems (eg. CRM, ERP).
  • Ability to work under tight timeframes with minimal supervision. Confident working independently.
  • Ability to maintain a calm approach, maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Willingness to get an understanding of the business administration of architecture.

This is a multi-faceted role. It is full-time and permanent. Reporting to the Directors, you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and liaising with people at all levels across the entire Sydney team of about 100, plus with our overseas offices. You are the go-to person for various aspects of the daily studio operations. You will maintain project resourcing and revenue forecast, analyse data, prepare monthly and ad hoc reports, assist with monthly project invoicing, update logs of operations activities, maintain the office infrastructure and monitor WHS issues, organise Design Talks and various social events, and a multitude of other tasks. No two days are the same.
