Civic Tower, Sydney

Civic Tower

When the Masonic Centre was completed in 1979 it excluded the commercial office tower that was a major element of the original design concept.

The Civic Tower completed this missing element as it was originally conceived. A marginal increase in the tower footprint was necessary to modern core and services technology, and an office floor plate design that responded to current workplace trends.

The tower provided 22,545m² of net lettable area over 24 levels of office space and 350m² of retail area on the ground floor including a café enclosed by new glass walls accommodated by the sloping concrete walls at the base of the original building.
