Angsana Quan Lan

Angsana resort is an international hotel brand of Banyan Tree. This resort is located at the gateway of the world heritage site of Ha long Bay.

The resort originated from a masterplan comprising a main building five storey building consisting of 150 rooms with associated 37 villas and related recreational, sporting and food and beverage facilities. These are set in superb landscape environments and represent the first stage of the larger 3 phase masterplan.

Angsana has a unique setting with a tropical jungle on the land entry side and the beach on the ocean side. The hotel and villas are nestled in an iconic crescent shaped coastline with lushly vegetated mountains at each end of the bay. The guest rooms, villas and amenities overlook the beautiful coastline of Van Don, Quang Ninh province.

The design of the main hotel building and villas have been located to optimise views and protection from the local seasonal conditions. The Architecture of the hotel reflects a contemporary interpretation of the local landscape forms and materials with fluid use of materials to reflect the fluidity of the sand dune setting. Local materials are used to evoke a sense of place and culture and integrate a sustainable approach in its environment.

These design considerations combine to create a unique destination and experiences for Angsana guests.
