42-44 Dunmore Street

Wentworthville town Centre DA has been approved by the Department of Planning and Cumberland Council following an extensive Design Excellence process.

Located at 42-44 Dunmore Street with close proximity to Wentworthville railway station, the redevelopment of the site enabled an increase in density together with a range of mixed uses and new open spaces.

PTW undertook an urban design analysis to verify a masterplan for the redevelopment of this significant site within the town centre of Wentworthville, a suburb immediately west of Sydney’s second city –Parramatta. The NSW Department of Planning had initially approved the masterplan strategy of this Planning Proposal in principle in 2016.

Publicly accessible, this sequence of urban spaces will not only provide a mid-block connection between adjoining Dunmore and Pritchard Streets but will serve as a new civic hub and urban focus – something missing within the town centre of Wentworthville.

With taller buildings strategically placed to define new public open spaces and the urban importance of this site, this project reflects PTW’s commitment to urban transformation and people-centred design. As well as the revitalised urban realm the project will deliver 23 storeys, 4 basement, 523 apartments and retail plus a supermarket and commercial space.
