Bio
Catherine’s compelling design capability is complemented by a breath of experience in working with clients to meet their aspirations; managing large and diverse consultant and collaborating teams as well as negotiating with councils, authorities and institutions for the effective and timely delivery of architectural projects.
Catherine’s expertise in a diverse range of building types from hospitality, mixed use including luxury high rise residential and retail; educational and health is well recognised. Appointed a PTW Director of the Sydney and Ho Chi Minh office in 2016, Catherine was previously Design Director of the Shanghai office and deputy Director for Vietnam. Framed by her life and practice experiences Catherine’s specific knowledge and acumen in the design and delivery of such diverse projects in East Asia over the last eight years is highly regarded and informs PTW’s strategic orientation to regional practice.
Catherine has contributed to awarded projects, winning competitions, exhibitions and conferences. She is a registered Architect in New South Wales, past NSW Board of Architects examiner, and has sat on the Property Council of Australia NSW Hotels Committee since 2020. Catherine regularly contributes to industry forums such as Women in Construction and Design (WIDAC), Design Inn, Australia Build Week Online and has participated as a tutor, lecturer and guest critic in a range of architectural education courses at Sydney universities.
