Launched in 2015 by former Australian Sex Discrimination Commissioner Elizabeth Broderick, Champions of Change is the first initiative of the AIA NSW Gender Equity Taskforce, a program that promotes advocacy at a leadership level within the architecture profession. Under the guidance of facilitator, Dr Jess Murphy and with the support of the NSW Chapter President, nine champions from large architectural practices signed a charter demonstrating their commitment to equity in composition, leadership and pay, as well as making active steps towards a flexible and consultative workplace. PTW was a founding member of the Champions of Change committee, and remains actively engaged with this initiative.
